This bath bomb is the Cat's Meow, figuratively speaking of course. Scented with delicious Apple and Bartlett Pear fragrance oil and made with a combination of different water soluble dyes to create a gorgeous Chartreuse, it comes with a surprise kitty figurine in the middle.
Another in my creations of the LGBTQA+ community, this bath bomb was designed by Kittensquirrel. An avid twitch streamer, motherly figure, lover of cats and all things feline, and amazingly talented make up artist. When asked what she wants the world to know about her community, she said "Woof. So many things. But I think the one I don't see people directly addressing as much is that yes: We are changing. Constantly. People are coming at you with new identities because we're finally having words to describe those of us who don't fit into L, G, B, or T. When I came out (2005) those were the only words we had to describe ourselves. So now, we're exploring ourselves in relation to these new terms and getting to try them on, see how they fit until we find the one for us. We know it can be confusing. It's confusing for us, too. Be patient while we figure out how to properly introduce ourselves."
When I asked who she looked up to in the community she said Betty Desire from Bellingham, WA. "She was my introduction to the fact that drag queens even existed, and has stood strong and firmly to protect the PNW queer folks and make sure that we have a place where we are safe to be who we are. She's had a lot of personal struggle and has never let anything stop her from being there with and for us."
A portion of the proceeds of this bath bomb will be donated to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute.
